Saturday, June 11, is the day, and Grand Rapids’ Madison Square neighborhood is the site for the sixth annual Rock the Block (RTB) Street Festival hosted by LINC Community Revitalization, Inc.

The community-wide event will have activities for families and children, food stands from local restaurants, a street market, a resource fair and live entertainment from hip hop group, Dead Prez. The duo will perform on LINC’s RTB main stage from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. Additional live entertainment will begin at 11 a.m. and run throughout the day including local singing groups, dance and step troupes and fitness exercises.

Following the RTB Festival, LINC will host its official after party with Dead Prez at 341 Hall Street SE. The event will begin at 7 p.m. and is open to those aged 21+. Tickets cost $15 and are available at http://tktwb.tw/1TXydcl or at the Pyramid Scheme in downtown Grand Rapids.

The street festival was very successful last year with more than 8,000 attending Rock the Block to celebrate, learn and share the positive transformation of Kent County neighborhoods through the efforts of LINC Community Revitalization, Inc. and its partners.
