The best cartoon show on television could be set right here in Michigan!

If you are a Rick and Morty fan, you might already know that Rick's daughter, Beth, is from Muskegon, Michigan. If you didn't know that, you'll need to go back to the first season of the show and watch the fifth episode (Meeseeks and Destroy).

In that episode, Beth refers to herself as a "bright-eyed" young girl from Muskegon, Michigan. That, of course, doesn't confirm anything about the current location of the family, BUT after Season 3 Episode 6 "Rest and Ricklaxation", we have a new clue.

In the episode, a minor character is talking to Morty when she drops this little gem "You weren't a 14-year-old boy from the Midwest who ran away from his family and capitalized on his lack on conscience by becoming a stockbroker?"

Hmmmmmmmm. It isn't actually mentioned that the show takes place in Michigan, but the good folks on Reddit have some further insight. They referenced a live stream involving Justin Roiland, one of the creators, in which he said that the Smiths lived near a Comedy Castle, which is in Royal Oak, Michigan. It has also been a fan theory that the show either took place in Metro Detroit or Seattle, Washington.

Now that the latest episode confirms that they live in the Midwest, and Beth is from Muskegon, and the Smiths supposedly live near Comedy Castle in Royal Oak, it's probably pretty safe to assume that Rick and Morty live in Metro Detroit.

Now here is a dubstep rendition of "I'm A Pickle, Morty!  I'm Pickle RIIIIIICKKKKKK!!!"
