Many were impressed with Michigan State winning 11 games and a New Year's Six bowl this past season.

Looks like MSU officials were impressed, too.

Coach Mark Dantonio told the media on Friday that he and his entire staff received raises following their successful season. Dantonio spoke to reporters following his presentation at the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association Clinic in downtown Lansing.

Dantonio didn't offer any specifics, but we can assume his base salary has increased from the $3.6 million it was increased to after last year's Rose Bowl-winning campaign. MSU's nine assistant coaches combined for a cumulative $3.2 million, of which $907,000 went to Pat Narduzzi, who has since left to become the head coach at Pitt.

This past season, MSU's staff ranked as the fifth-best paid in the nation. Dantonio made a total of $5.6 million, thanks to a $2 million bonus. He was the second-highest paid coach in the country, behind only Alabama's Nick Saban ($7.2 million).
