RECALL – GM Recalls 7.6 Million More Vehicles

Monday afternoon, General Motors announced more recalls. These new recalls combined with previous recalls from this year affect 8.4 million vehicles worldwide, most of those have been recalled for faulty ignition switches.

The vehicles recalled on Monday add up to the company's largest single day of recalls this year. In addition to the ignition switch recalls, the automaker is recalling vehicles for faulty wiring and fasteners.

Trading in GM stock was halted prior to the announcement.

2004-2006 Cadillac SRX

For issues with insulation on the engine block heater power cord:

For improper torquing of a "Superhold" joint fastener:

For an overload in the feed that may cause underhood fusible link to melt due to electrical overload, resulting in potential smoke or flames that could damage the electrical center cover and/or the nearby wiring harness conduit:

For a possible electrical short in the driver's door module that could disable the power door lock and window switches and, in rare cases, overheat the module:
