Rate of Flu in Kent County Highest Since H1N1 in 2009
The flu continues to spread quickly across Michigan and Kent County.
17% of emergency visits in Kent County last week were for flu-like symptoms, the highest rate recorded by the Kent County Health Department since 2009.
A total of 813 cases of the flu have been confirmed by KCHD.
The latest flu report from the CDC shows "widespread" flu activity in Michigan and across most of the eastern half of the country.
Just a few weeks ago flu levels were relatively low in Michigan.
