Pure Michigan Beauty

Thanks to the Pure Michigan advertising campaign, tourists from around the country are discovering the cool places Michigan has to offer. I was surprised to see so many out of state license plates on the cars parked at Mission Point Park last weekend. Mission Point is that peninsula that separates east and west Grand Traverse Bay north of Traverse City. I was trying to impress that fact to my kids -- who have grown up in Michigan -- who would rather play video games in the car. We have so many great places, too bad people can be so jaded.
