Private Club vs. Public Course. Your Ideas
To join or not to join. Many frequent golfers are faced with that question each year. There are so many nice golf courses in Michigan -- and west Michigan in particular, it is not surprising to see a few once private courses are allowing public play. The Highlands has been "semi-private" for a couple years now. I heard Centennial is going the same way.
You can make an case for both sides, but speaking as a member of the Highlands, it was sure nice to just walk up and start playing. Odds were good I knew someone on the range, in the bar or on the course and could always count on company. I met a lot of great people that way. However, I really like playing all the area's courses.
What are your thoughts.
