Ice combined with snow has led to numerous power outages in West Michigan.

Since noon Saturday, more than 175,000 Consumers Energy customers have been affected by electricity outages in Michigan.

As of 9:30 a.m. this morning, 155,000 Consumers Energy customers were still without power.

Outage totals include: Kent (21,958); Ottawa (1,347); Allegan (4,706); Barry (14,415); Eaton (9,446); Ionia (4,961); Kalamazoo (4,532); and Montcalm (3,679).

With freezing rain persisting Sunday morning in portions of the state, assessment was continuing to determine estimated restoration times for customers. A significant number of customers who have been without electric service since midday Saturday may be without power for several days.
