Pixie the dog is our special pet of the week.

Andy Rent talked about her on his Andy in the Morning show for Wet Nose Wednesday.

Trudy, from the Humane Society of West Michigan, brought Pixie into the studios. Pixie is a 6-year old, female Terrier mix.  She's smaller in size and blond/beige in color.

According to the My Terrier Dog, it is a mix of the terrier dog breed and that really short dog that originally hails from Germany.  It comes in various colors (black, brown, tan). In fact they love to love and be loved, and they really like to cuddle.

Trudy talked about their partnership with Wendy's. Anytime you stop by a Wendy's for some delicious food, make a $1 dollar donation and you will receive an $1 dollar coupon good the next time you stop at a Wendy's for anything on their menu. Also, this Saturday, and the Standale Wendy's on Lake Michigan Drive, the Humane Society will have adoptable dogs there from 10 am to 2 pm. Be sure you stop by because they may have you new "best friend" waiting for you.

Don't forget Summer Camp for you kids. There are all sorts of opportunities for kids to work with animals, learn so much and have fun doing it. Visit www.hswestmi.org/camps
