Ottawa County Girls’ Softball Coach Arrested for Alleged Criminal Sexual Conduct
44-year-old Thomas Barnes Galloway, a softball coach from Spring Lake, has been arrested for alleged sexual assault.
Galloway was arrested Monday morning by the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department. WZZM-13 reports that the investigation into Galloway began in early March.
Galloway is the founder of the the Michigan Sabercats, a fast-pitch softball organization. Girls from ages 8-18 play on multiple teams in the organization.
The victim of the alleged assault is a former player who was 13 at the time that the alleged assault took place.
Galloway is being held at the Ottawa County jail on a $75,000 bond.
The case remains under investigation.
