Opera Singer Sings During His Own Brain Surgery [Video]

This opera singer, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor, is kept awake while undergoing brain surgery and asked to sing as surgeons fiddle with his brain. Don't worry there is no blood or exposed brain, flesh, anything. It's amazing, remarkable, interesting and oh so creepy.

What else can you say except WOW. The neurosurgeon's advice was to do an awake craniotomy so that he could sing during the surgery (on June13th 2014) in order to avoid deficits after the procedure. The music neuro team of the UMC in Utrecht was also involved in order to assist the surgery.
