Here's really good news.  NOT!  The flu season is just around the corner.

You know what that means.  It's time to think about getting that flu shot.

Now, in my house, we all get our shots.  We feel better safe than sorry and we've been pretty safe the past few years.

Where can you go to get a shot?  Of course, you can always call your doctor and set up an appointment.  But for those without a doctor, or can't get in right away, the Kent County Health Departments is offering flu vaccinations, and they're for all people over the age of 6-months-old.

The cost is pretty reasonable, $25 per flu shot and $32 for the FluMist Nasal Spray.

And, the good news is that children ages 18 and under without insurance, or with insurance that does not cover vaccinations can pay an administrative fee for $15 or less.

There are five Kent County clinics that will provide the vaccinations. The main location is the Fuller Clinic, located at 700 Fuller NE in Grand Rapids.

Satellite clinic locations include:

Kentwood Clinic at 1620 44th Street SE

North County Clinic in Rockford at 4388 14 Mile Road NE

Sheldon Clinic in Grand Rapids at 121 Franklin SE, Suite 130

Wyoming Clinic at 852 47th Street SW.
