Earlier this year, we learned that there would be one entry in the Grand River at ArtPrize Seven. Jane Cassidy’s “Brumaire is the color”, an audio/visual installation, was set to be installed on the underside of the Pearl Street Bridge.

Cassidy has had to withdraw from ArtPrize after the installation proved to be too difficult to get installed.

The Grand River has always been a prized spot at ArtPrize. The central location gets entries and artists noticed and gives them a good chance at earning votes from the public.

There will be no entries in the Grand River Venue area this year, however, Erin V. Sotak's "My Your Our Water" will be in the Grand River at Sixth Street Bridge Park.

We talked to artist Jane Cassidy and she explained what happened, "It was on and off the cards for a while as we were trying to figure out logistics. Everyone involved was trying their best to make it happen, but it just couldn't come to pass this year. I would love to do it still, we'll see what the future holds."
