Nigel visited with Andy Rent as he talked about him on his Andy in the Morning show for Wet Nose Wednesday.

Brooke, from the Humane Society of West Michigan, brought Nigel into the studios.

Nigel is a 3 month old Jack Russell Terrier mix who is now ready for adoption. He can be nervous away from his litter mates and would love a home willing to help build his confidence.

According to the Jack Russel Terrier Club of America, the Jack Russell Terrier is such an intensely loyal, alert, affectionate, profound companion like no other. The Jack Russell Terrier wants to keenly interact with people... to be with you every moment of life... sharing and helping at every step. The real Jack Russell Terrier does not sit on the sidelines of life.

Yesterday was Giving Tuesday, and a very good day for the Humane Society. Brooke said they are still totaling things up but over $46,000 was raised yesterday! Over $36,000 was donated by community members plus $10,000 from their matching gift sponsors, Chow Hound Pet Supplies and SpartanNash.

This Saturday, December 2nd, is the Humane Societies Holiday Open House where adoptions are reduced. Adult dogs and kittens are $50, critters and adult cats are fee waived.  All of the information is on the Humane Society website or call (616) 453-8900.
