The unseasonably warm weather, one of the warmest days in March on record occurred last month,  and that brings out the bad, like the bugs, and the good, like the mushrooms!

Mushroom hunters are reporting they are getting an early jump on morel mushroom season this year in Michigan!  This is close to two months before the usual peak.  It was the perfect storm literally,  for mushrooms this year.  Combine a warm rain and high temperatures, and it could prompt even more morels to come up.  BUT,  if the current warm weather changes and we get a cold snap, the mushrooms could come up again in April or May.  Here's a yummy mushroom recipe you might enjoy...
