Monkees Star Davy Jones Dies At Age 66

It’s a sad day for those of us who grew up watching “The Monkees”. Davy Jones, who started the band back in 1965 along with Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith, and Peter Tork, died this morning at the age of 66 after suffering a heart attack.

Jones’ rep told TMZ that he died this morning in Florida. TMZ confirmed Jones’ death with an official from the medical examiner’s office for Martin County, Fla.

He is survived by his wife and four children from a previous marriage.
