There are some things that are unexpected.

A case in point was this morning, when Fajita Republic Cantina's Heather Dismore and Cheryl Moscato visited with fajitas and lime-squeezed margaritas. It wasn't even brunch yet.

Fajita Republic Cantina opens at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Knapps Corner at 2183 E. Beltline Ave. NE in Grand Rapids.

It is a craft Mexican experience created by corporate chef Andy Dismore, mixology specialist Heather Dismore and southeastern Michigan-based JK&T Wings, Inc.

Heather and Moscato brought in the cantina's line of fajitas, with marinated meats and farm-fresh veggies, along with Heather's handmade margaritas. Mmm.

The first 100 people who visit Fajita Republic Cantina on Wednesday get free tacos for a year.
