Shooting pool is something that has been a part of my life since I was a little boy.  My grandfather had a pool table and I remember Tuesday night family dinners that would end up in the pool room for a family 'shoot out.' I've played pool since I was old enough to hold a cue stick. Not Millie, retired and living at Clark Retirement Community here in Grand Rapids. She is living proof that you are never too old to learn something new. She took up pool at age 99, learning to play during Clark's weekly matches. She's now 101, and loves the game. That's 101 years of age and 'shooting stick!'

Millie is an amazing woman, and decided the she needed a bit more excitement in her life, so, she challenged Lauren Stanton from WZZM-13, in a televised match no less! Supporters turned out in droves to cheer for Millie and acknowledge her spirit and energy that keeps this 101 year old young at heart.
