Want to see a midnight screening of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2"? Better buy your tickets now.

John Serba of the Grand Rapids Press writes that as of Saturday, the three first-run Celebration Cinema locations in Grand Rapids had sold out 33 midnight shows for the the film, which opens Friday.

The numbers break down as follows:

Celebration North: 3193 tickets sold, 14 (of 18) auditoriums sold out

Celebration South: 1422 tickets sold, 6 (of 16) auditoriums sold out

Celebration Rivertown: 3015 tickets sold, 13 (of 20) auditoriums sold out

That's more than 7,600 tickets at the three locations. The other five Celebration theaters across the state have sold another 5,000-plus tickets (1,200 at the Portage location, four sold-out auditoriums), for a total of 12,600.

Tickets may be purchased for all shows - and for this week's screenings of the other "Potter" films showing during the chain's Harry Potter Week - at the Celebration website.

Local AMC Star theaters, area Goodrich locations and Rockford's Northstar Cinemas also have scheduled midnight shows, with tickets on sale now.

"The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" holds Celebration's midnight-sales record of 18,662 - for now.

"Deathly 2" will be screening around the clock at Celebration North, with shows during the 3, 4 and 5 a.m. hours. The 3:15 a.m. IMAX 3-D screening already has sold 125 seats.

The film is expected to gross $153 million domestically during its opening weekend, according to boxoffice.com.
