This is not the best news at all, Michigan ranks very last when it comes to total education funding growth over 20 years according to WOODTV.

The study comes from Michigan State University and they looked at education revenue growth from 2005 – 2015.

WOODTV reports from the MSU study,

After adjusting for inflation, school revenue was 82 percent of what it was in 1995, after the passage of an education-finance overhaul. No other state was "close to a decline of this magnitude," the research says.

According to WOODTV, MSU also attributes the lower spending to tax cuts affecting education.
