When I visited Israel back in December, I must admit that at first it was a little unusual to be stopped upon entering the mall, told to walk through the metal detector, and allow security to take a quick look in my purse.  But after riding the public bus to the mall for about a week straight, it no longer felt unusual to me.  Actually it started to feel quite safe.

In fact, while in Israel some Facebook friends sent me the news article about the shooters at the Woodland Mall.  Maybe if we had those at the time, that wouldn't have happened there either.

Regardless, 3 West Michigan 5/3rd banks have installed a metal detector security system but customers don't appear to mind too much.
