Mel Trotter Winter Weather Emergency Needs

Because of the Winter Storm Warning, high winds, heavy snow and dangerous wind chills, Mel Trotter Ministries is starting their Emergency Weather Plan for homeless men, women and children.

There is a desperate need for blankets, twin-sized sheets, socks, and pillow cases to compensate for the high demand this weekend.  If you can help, drop off locations are HERE, you can donate money HERE or just call 616-454-8249 for more information.

Mel Trotter Ministries puts the plan into effect when temps are forecast near zero.  During the emergency weather plan, their DayCenter stays open all day so people can get a warm drink, use the internet and be sheltered from the elements. They are also invited for a hot dinner and a bed to sleep in overnight.
