Meijer State of Michigan Games Photo Memories

My son has rowed for five years and I've been to many regattas, but none quite like the Meijer State of Michigan games last weekend at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids. There were plenty of experienced rowers seeking gold, silver and bronze, but there also was lots of "green" rowers who up until two weeks ago were never in a boat. My wife and her Rockford boat mates practiced hard for two weeks prior to the regatta, but they said it was nothing like the actual competition. They did very well...winning a silver and two bronze medals...competing in the community category. Next year, I want to row. I hope the reviews of my rowing style will be kind, but it won't matter. Just competing will be enough.
