My wife has always wanted to be an Olympian and this weekend she will get her chance.  She'll be one of hundreds competing in the Meijer State of Michigan games in the Greater Grand Rapids Area. Michiganders will vye for Gold, Silver or Bronze medals in 25 different sports.  There are adult and kids division and anyone can take part.  My wife will be rowing on the Grand River at Riverside Park with seven other medal hungry ladies in an eight-woman boat.  I'll be on the riverbank taking her picture.  The games got underway today with golf at the Meadows at Grand Valley State University.  Ice Hockey starts tomorrow at East Kentwood High School.   It is the prelude to Friday’s opening ceremonies at Fifth Third Ballpark.  For more information on the games visit stategamesofmichigan.com/
