As Grand Rapids is overtaken with comedians and laughter, Velvet from Crash's Landing is one more reason to smile.

Can you adopt Velvet?

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Velvet.

Velvet was born in the summer of 2011, she came to Crash's Landing in January of 2013.

Velvet was FIV positive and had nowhere else to turn. Crash's Landing has taken great care of her for two years, but now Velvet is ready to move on to a permanent home.

Velvet is shy and very sweet. Although she is a bit shy, she still enjoys being around humans. Velvet would make a great addition to your family!

Please adopt Velvet.
