Stardust has been a joy for all who have met him since he took up residence at Crash's Landing a few months ago!

He is a very friendly cat and would be a perfect match for your family!

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Stardust.

Stardust came to Crash's Landing in February after another shelter found out he is FIV+. Most shelters do not take FIV+ cats. Crash's Landing has taken them in and cared for them for years. Sometimes the FIV+ cats that they care from come from hundreds of miles away since most shelters do not accept them.

Stardust was born in 2012. He was abandoned about one year ago. A neighbor provided some shelter after Stardust's prior owner left him behind, but it took some time before Stardust found his way into Crash's Landing.

Stardust is a very calm, cool and friendly cat. FIV can only be transmitted through penetrating bite wounds. Stardust's personality suggests that the chances of this happening are extremely low.

Welcome Stardust into your family!
