It's going to be a looong winter which makes it a great time to adopt a cat from Crash's Landing to keep you warm on cold winter days.

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is "Purrrfect Friday," where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home. This week, we're spotlighting Scrat.

Scrat was born in the summer of 2009. He was rescued on June 6, 2013.

When he was rescued, Scrat was missing teeth, had a lacerated tongue, was very shy and was very hungry.

Crash's Landing fed him and cared for him. They also discovered that he was FIV positive after they tested him.

Scrat has enjoyed his time at Crash's Landing, but nothing would be better than a home and a family to call his own.

Can you adopt Scrat?

Can't adopt, but still want to help?
