The sun is not the only thing shining this summer.

Meet Glitter from Crash's Landing.

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is "Purrrfect Friday," where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home. This week, we're spotlighting Glitter.

Glitter was named by the 5-year-old boy who found her after her family left her behind.

Glitter's official full name is Sparkling Glitter Princess!

It's clear that's she's a very special cat, but she was off to a tough start when she first came to Crash's Landing. She had been hit by a car and had multiple fractures.

Crash's Landing nursed her back to health. It took some time, but Glitter was able to heal without any surgeries.

Glitter was born in September of 2010. She's ready for the next chapter in her life.
