Last year, a stray cat was found running through the middle of the street dodging traffic on the west side of town.

The cat was taken in from the streets and eventually made his way to Crash's Landing.

Douglas Furbanks has been well taken care of at Crash's Landing, but he still needs a home.

Can you adopt him?

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Douglas Furbanks.

Douglas Furbanks is a neutered male. He was born in early summer of 2012 and came to Crash's Landing in October 2014 after being rescued off of the streets.

Douglas Furbanks was not very interested in food or playing when he was first found. Crash's Landing moved him up the wait list since there was a fear that he needed medical attention.

Fortunately, all he needed was a little time and TLC.

Today, Douglas Furbanks is affectionate and playful. He would make a great addition to your family!
