The excitement began yesterday and continues today at the Grand Rapids Public Museum as you celebrate space exploration and the Life of Roger B. Chaffee. And, you'll get to meet an astronaut!

Included with admission to the Museum, you can get hands-on with space, science and engineering activities - make planispheres, interact with underwater ROVs, experience jet propulsion, explore the solar system and more!

And, today, Saturday, February 16, hear a special presentation "Space for Everyone" from retired NASA Astronaut, Nicole Stott! Nicole is the "Artistic Astronaut" who creatively combines the awe and wonder of her spaceflight experience with her artwork to inspire everyone's appreciation of our role as crew mates here on spaceship Earth.

Nicole’s experience as a NASA Astronaut includes two spaceflights and 104 days spent living and working in space on both the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station. A personal highlight of her spaceflight was painting the first watercolor in space. She is also an Aquanaut, and along with her NEEMO9 crew, she lived and worked during an 18-day mission on the Aquarius undersea habitat.

Join the GRPM for Astronaut Nicole Stott’s presentation “Space for Everyone” at 11 a.m. today!
