I can't wait for my "Spoon-full of Sugar."

"Mary Poppins" opens next Wednesday night for a weeks run, at DeVos Performance Hall, from Broadway Grand Rapids.

The show is based more on P.L. Travers’ original book that the popular movie with Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke was. It's been 'wowing' audiences with its technical brilliance and a humdinger of a set, featuring the Banks family’s huge Victorian house opening like a storybook.

By-the-way...Sunday's 6:30 p.m. show is Family Night. With the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket, a child younger than 18 can see the show for free. Available for seating in zones 2 and 3. Family Night guests also will be treated to a host of activities in the inner lobby of DeVos Performance Hall from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The first 100 children will receive a free gift bag with show merchandise inside.
