Man Steals Sofa From Furniture Store

If you had to think of items that could be easily stolen without anyone noticing, what would you think of?  Small stuff, right?

What about a SOFA?  Think you could get away with stealing that out of a store without anyone catching you?  Apparently, it's possible.

I was reading WOOD-TV's website yesterday and laughed when I read that some dude got a five-finger discount on a $6700 sofa from a local furniture store!  How does this happen?  I mean, wouldn't someone from the store realize there was no sale rung up for a sofa?  And one would assume that if a salesperson had sold that big-ticket item, he or she probably would've made a mention of it to other employees.

The story goes on to say that the thief actually returned to the store.  Why?  To get the CUSHIONS he left behind on the first trip. Hahahahahaha. He should've left well enough alone. File under "Criminals: Sometimes lucky but not too bright."
