The West Michigan music scene lost a member in June of 2014, and today one of the men responsible for his death was sentenced to life in prison.

Jake Rameau, a member of Lakeshore Drive, was killed on June 26, 2014 while chasing after a person who had stolen his brother's car. Rameau was on his motorcycle, and was shot in the back during the chase.

Monday, September 26, Dashawn Andrew Boylan was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole in connection to Rameau's death. Boylan was found guilty of  first-degree felony murder in perpetration of a larceny.

The gunman in the incident, Robert Gee, was previously convicted of first-degree murder and given the same sentence.
