When you see a penny on the sidewalk do you stop and pick it up? If you're headed to the Detroit area, you might want to go ahead and do that.

Ally Bank has hidden 100 "lucky pennies" in 10 cities across the U.S., including Detroit.

According to the Detroit Free Press, Ally Bank launched the campaign  to support the idea that every cent counts and to encourage Americans to look for opportunities to save.

The "lucky pennies" are hidden in plain sight in public places in Detroit, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Miami, Denver, San Diego, Charlotte, and Austin.

The coins are slightly larger than an actual penny, with the Ally Financial logo on one side and "100,000 cents" on the other.

Anyone who finds an Ally Lucky penny can enter the code printed on it here to redeem.
