Attention all artists. Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is now accepting entries for the 17th annual Ray and Nancy Loeschner Art Competition.

Celebrating its 17th year, the annual competition welcomes artists from around the globe. Through the generosity of the Loeschner family, two winning entries will each be awarded a prize of $5,000 and will become part of Meijer Gardens’ permanent collection. New this year is a $5,000 prize exclusively for photography entries.

The competition is open to all artists who are of college age and older working in a two-dimensional format. Artists are encouraged to submit original two-dimensional works inspired by Meijer Gardens.

To participate, artists may register online at meijergardens.org/award or submit digital images and prints of the artwork, as well as a completed application form, by Friday, October 26. If selected as a finalist, Meijer Gardens will request delivery of the original artwork on Friday, November 9. The winner will be chosen by Friday, December 14.

Since 2002, the Loeschner Art Completion has sought outstanding artwork inspired by Meijer Gardens. For more information and to view past winners, visit www.meijergardens.org/award
