Big congratulations to local business leader and publisher, Kasie Smith, president of Serendipity Media, LLC. Kasie is being honored as a member of the 2016 class of Top Women in Media, Entrepreneur category, by Folio Magazine.

Each year, a select group of women are hand-picked by the Folio: team to represent the best and brightest rising stars, entrepreneurs, director-level doers, corporate visionaries and industry leaders. The 2016 class of honorees includes Grand Rapids own Kasie Smith, along with Entertainment Weekly’s Ellie Duque, Forbes Media’s Jessica Sibley, Kisho Media’s Tasheema Prince, New Hope Natural Media’s Carlota Mast, Bloomberg’s Laura Zelenko and Idea Couture’s Ashley Perez.

Kasie Smith founded Serendipity Media in 2002 with the launch of Groups Today magazine. Today, the Grand Rapids-based company has diversified into a full-service media company and content marketing firm that produces six magazines, five eNewsletters, and three custom publications, and manages websites, social media, event marketing and a full menu of creative services for its local and national clients.
