Most people don't think of music when they think of ArtPrize, but music is a growing part of the competition.

Prizes were awarded to five separate musical entries earlier this week.

St. Cecilia Music Society awarded $2,000 prizes in five separate musical genres: folk/country, classical, jazz, rock/blues, and pop/electronic.

St. Cecilia also awarded prizes last year during ArtPrize.
