Lila Belle  the cat visited with Andy Rent as he talked about her on the Andy in the Morning show for Wet Nose Wednesday.

Trudy, from the Humane Society of West Michigan, brought Lila Belle into the studios.

Lila Belle is a 10-year-old domestic shorthair cat that came to the Humane Society as an owner surrender. She has been in and out of the shelter environment since March and is looking for her perfect home. She would do best as an only pet and is fee waived due to being a part of the Silver Paws program.

Trudy discussed their need for fosters, especially during kitten season. Fosters are extremely important not only for cats and their kittens but also for the dogs at HSWM. The shelter environment can be very stressful for some animals so being able to get them out into a home environment helps keep them happy and healthy. For more information on fostering, go to the Humane Society's website, www.hswestmi.org, and click on "get involved."

During this month of August, all long-term dogs (in HSWM's care over 1 month) are only $25 to adopt until August 31st.
