Before iPods and smartphones, but after record players and eight-tracks, there was the Walkman.

While it was pretty much a standard possession of teens in the '80s, it's now become obsolete; and there's an entire generation of kids who don't even know what a Walkman is.

In this video, kids are given a Walkman and try to figure out just what in the world it is (and how it works).

The first step, of course, is for the kids to figure out what it is. Then, they move on to trying to open it, trying to insert the cassette and laughing at the giant headphones we all used to use.

Don't worry, though, they'll get theirs. There will very likely come a day when these kids have kids who will be shocked that their parents used a phone to listen to music instead of whatever new technology they use.
