Knock!  Knock!

Who's there?

Hilarious kids at LaughFest on Thursday night!

Kid comedians and their friends and family packed a room at the Grand Rapids Library for a lot of fun!

Each kid was introduced with their name, age, and what they want to be when they grow up.

Future aspirations of Thursday night's comedians included:  policeman, race car driver, doctor, dragon, University of Michigan/Miami Heat basketball player, and one boy who wants to grow up to be his dad.

Some joke highlights:

  • Why does Santa have 3 gardens?     So he can ho-ho-ho!
  • Why was the math book so sad?     Because it has a lot of problems!
  • Why was the broom late for school?     Because it over-swept!

The crowd was also treated to some ventriloquism and was surprised to hear a few jokes which danced the line between potty and blue humor.  The evening's host, stand-up comedian Allen Trieu, blamed the internet for the surprising jokes.  Trieu did a great job as host, but still needs to brush up on his Chicken Dance moves.

Mr. Picklehead provided entertainment and sing along songs throughout the night, including the Chicken Dance. Both Trieu and Mr. Picklehead returned to the same roles they held at LaughFest 2012.

There will be another night for kids to tell their jokes at LaughFest.  Lowell will host a second Kids Joke Night on Friday, March 15 at 6:00pm.  Lowell's Kids Joke Night will be held at LowellArts!  Learn more here.

Congratulations to all of the brave stand-up comedians at Kids Joke Night!
