Fun times in Lowell next week, because the annual Kent County Youth Fair will be at the Lowell Fairgrounds beginning Sunday, August 4 through Saturday, August 10.

The fair supports childhood literacy and this year they created an actual children's book.  Kids who read 5 or more books will get a free day of rides at the fair.

I truly will be a "day on the farm" when you visit the fair.  All sorts of livestock and animals to see up-close and personal, along with a children's barnyard.  There will be a youth talent show, ORV and boating classes, community day, handi-capable day, great food and, of course, the mid-way of rides, and so much more.

The Fair opens Sunday, August 4 and closes Saturday, August 10.  It's something the entire family will enjoy.

Jon Bieneman, President of Kent County Youth Fair, talked about the fair with Andy Rent on "Andy in the Morning."
