The Kent County Youth Fair kicks off next week at the Lowell Fairgrounds.  Animals, rides, great entertainment, fair food, they have it all.Running Monday, August 10 through Saturday, August 15, this is the 81st year of great family-fun at the fairgrounds in Lowell.. All the entertainment is free, excluding the carnival rides. A parking pass is just $6 a day, and $18 for the week.

They have added a great line-up of special "days" and events this year. Hero's Day is Monday the 10th. Active military, fire, police and EMT's park for free all day.  Community Day is Wednesday the 12th.  Kids Day is Saturday the 15th, with a buy one carnival ride wristband, get one free, and ride all day. They'll also have Tractor games, pig races, a youth talent show and more.

New this year is the Little Britches Rodeo starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday the 15th. Families can watch a real rodeo, learn to rope, meet cowboys and cowgirls and even watch bull riders and rodeo clown.
