The Kent County Health Department is looking for your help to improve the health of the county's population overall.

All you have to do is tell them exactly what you like (and what you don't like) in regards to things like exercise and safety.

The Health Department is expanding on a recent survey that was taken by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That survey found that residents think Kenty County's biggest strength is the quality of our parks and recreation, followed by the number of farmers markets and relatively easy access to health care.

Residents think the county's biggest weaknesses include concerns over violence and safety, lack of access to affordable, healthy food, and lack of access to public transportation. The top health concerns are substance abuse, obesity, and diabetes.

The Kent County Health Department has designed a survey and plan to reach out residents to find out how they'd like to improve the biggest health concerns in the county.

If you live in Kent County you may be getting a call or a knock on your door in the near future, and that will be an opportunity to give your opinions and to help improve the health of Kent County.
