Kendall School Of Design Student Crowned Miss Michigan

There were two beauty pageants this past weekend.  Of course we crowned a new Miss USA, but we also crowned a new Miss Michigan,

Elizabeth Wertenberger took home the title Saturday, after several days of competition at Muskegon's Frauenthal Theater.

WZZM TV13 reported Wertenberger is the former Miss Southwest. The 21-year-old woman was the third runner up for Miss Michigan in 2009. Wertenberger is a senior at Kendall School of Design here in Grand Rapids.
