Add Kelly Clarkson to the growing list of singers who've had to cancel tour dates due to throat issues.

Kel announced on Sunday that she'd be pulling out of the final six shows on the current leg of her sold-out North American trek. The cancellations started with Sunday night's performance in Vienna, Virginia and include a pair of Florida concerts, a September 19th gig in Raleigh, North Carolina and the leg-ending stop the following night in Camden, New Jersey.

Kelly tweeted the news to fans, saying, "So bummed that I have to cancel some of my tour dates. This kills me, but doctors are saying I need to rest my voice. I can't wait to get healthy and see y'all back on the road soon. I hate canceling and I am truly sorry to my fans that have been excited to see this show. Please know that I never cancel anything unless it's absolutely necessary."

According to Rolling Stone, Kelly is still planning to kick off the second leg of the tour in Kantata, Ontario on October 1st.
