Kate Middleton and Prince William visited Northern Ireland Tuesday, the latest stop in their pre-wedding tour of the UK.  Photographers caught the royal pair showing off their flapjack  flipping skills outside city hall. What prompted the public pancake tossing? Pancakes are the traditional treat eaten on Shrove Tuesday, the day before the Catholic season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday.  The Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children provided the pancake and pan for a fundraiser-- and were surprised by an appearance from the royal couple!
