Emily stopped by with Karlie. Karlie, is a 4-year old Terrier Mix. Karlie is a sweet girl who loves to wag her tail and give kisses. She seems to be selective about dogs but we don't have a history of how she acts with cats.

Emily talked about two fund raising events this weekend. The first is the Tailwagger Fundraiser ( Nov. 10th) - Tailwagger Dog Photography is holding a fundraiser November 10th from 11 am- 4 pm at HSWM. 50% of all proceeds will go back to help the animals of HSWM. Dog Portrait session fee is $65 (includes 1 fully edited digital negative) and must be booked in advance. Additional digital negatives can be purchased for $20 each with booking or $25 each after you receive the link to your online gallery.

Also happening Saturday is the Hot Cider Hustle (Nov. 10th) - HSWM is partnering with the Hot Cider Hustle, a 5k fun run/ walk followed by cider and caramel apples, to raise funds for animals in need! Hot Cider Hustle takes place this Saturday, November 10th at Millenium Park starting at 7:30 am. A portion of the proceeds will go to HSWM.

Here is a reminder that this week is National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week. It is important to keep in mind how much animal shelters do for the community and remember that there are different ways you can give back to your local animal shelter. Some of the ways include volunteering, donating, and even adopting!

You can get all the information on the Humane Society website or call (616) 453-8900.
