Poppy, a Pit Bull/terrier mix, visited the studios this morning for Wet Nose Wednesday.Poppy is a littler over one-year old, very loving and playful, and certainly would make a wonderful addition to a family.  Trudy Ender, Executive Director of the Humane Society of West Michigan, said that because she is still a puppy, Poppy would fit a family with children six-years of age and above.

Trudy announced that the Humane Society of West Michigan has been chosen as one of the 50 finalists for the ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge.  It's quite an honor. The  Challenge is a national competition to inspire animal shelters—and those who support them—to go above and beyond to increase pet adoption, reunite lost pets with their families and save more animals’ lives. It will kick off in June and run through August, and Trudy will have more details as we get closer the the event.
