National School Choice Week began yesterday in Michigan and across the country. There are 409 events planned here in Michigan to raise awareness about K-12 school choice, and GRPS is planning a big one this Wednesday.

From 4:00-6:30PM at the Gerald R. Ford Academic Center, 851 Madison Ave SE, all parents and students can learn more about school of choice. They can check out the new and expanded Theme Schools and Centers of Innovation. There is FREE dinner for all, along with giveaways, music, and fun winter games and activities, and, IT'S ALL FREE!

More information and applications for Grand Rapids Public Schools Themed schools can be found at @apply.grps.org

Governor Rick Snyder, the mayors of Dearborn and Kalamazoo, and county leaders from Kent and Oakland counties have issued official proclamations recognizing January 24-30, 2016 as “School Choice Week.”

There are so many options in education today, that it's in the parents and students best interest to check them all out for the best opportunity that fits their need.
