Halloween time is the best time to talk about ghoulish and ghostly things, like a mysterious ship sailing off the coast of Marquette.

The area was the site of many shipwrecks, and this weird ship seemingly standing still on a brisk, windy day is hard to explain.

Posted by YouTube member Jason Asselin, the footage seems to catch a tall sail standing still has a heavy gale blows in. If it were a sailboat, it would be moving with the wind, right? I mean you can tack into a wind, but that's a pretty heavy breeze.

As for me, I prefer a scientific explanation, as one commenter to the site offered, it's a common effect called a lake mirage, which I'm willing to believe except for the fact there are no towns with buildings that big along Lake Superior.
